Hunter's Birthday Party...

Well, Another year has come and gone and so has another party. I had fun making this cake and it was actually easier than I thought it was going to be when Hunter first requested it. He asked for a dinosaur birthday, which sounded pretty easy. Then I said, "well, what kind of cake do you want?" His response..."A blue T-Rex standing up with his tail out and tiny little hands with big claws and big teeth and red eyes." Okay, I'm thinking to myself, how on earth do a construct a standing T-Rex. I think I could have done a Triceratops, but I'm not so sure about a T-Rex. So after a few discussions with my mom, I decided rice crispies was the way to go. I actually got him constructed pretty quick and Hunter was very happy with the results, Thank Goodness. It did take some wood skewers to keep him standing, oh well! I will say, I just couldn't do red eyes and he didn't even bring it up! The claws didn't make it either.

Hunter ready for the big day! He has been very excited about this party for quite a while now. We have had a birthday party paper chain going for over 100 days in anticipation!

I let Hunter help with the decorations. He thought the goodie bag bowl was the perfect pteranadon nest.
I threw this one in there because I thought it was a good picture of my mom and she doesn't make the blog alot due to her unphotogenic nature.
The boys were getting into the spirit with party hats. I think Henri ate to much cake!

Hunter received many wonderful gifts! Thanks to everyone!
This is when everyone was singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Not quite sure why he was looking so sad, but this is how he looked the entire time.
Then all the boys stood patiently in line waiting for cake.

It was a great party!!!

(side note: Henri's appointment went fine. He does have to wear a helmet. We are now just waiting on all the insurance to go through and approve it, then we will go back and have his head scanned again and have it made. )
