Florida...Part 1

Over Hunter's spring break we went to visit my grandparents in Florida.  In case you have not heard much about our trip.  Henri got the stomach flu the first day of driving (we drove over 2 days and stopped one night on the way down and back).  He was fine by the second day and the entire time we were there.  Hayden woke up with the stomach flu and had it the entire first day of driving on the way home.  It made for a fun (and smelly) ride.  All is fine now!

Okay, so we are to the beginning of our trip. Here the boys in a hotel for the first time. They were pretty excited!!!

Now we have made it to the beach.  Hunter jumps right in...of course.

Hayden, a bit more timid takes the Daddy carry me approach.  He did; however, on the third day, put his toes on the water on his own.  I took Hunter and Hayden down while Keith stayed back with Henri during his nap.  Hayden and I would sit and see how close we could get to the wave and see if it could touch our toes.  I was very proud of him.  He also got in the pool without screaming and has been asking when we can go swimming again.  Maybe this summer will  be better than last!

 

 

Henri kept his toes in the sand.  I think the waves were a bit much for him.  He did enjoy playing in the giant sandbox though!

 

 

 

 

One of the places we went to while we were there was Gulf World. The boys really enjoyed this.  They got to see Dolphins, Alligators, Birds, Snakes, Sting Ray, Sea Lions,  Penguins, etc...I think I learned that Henri is going through the "I get scared at splashing and loud noises and dolphins splashing around me" phase.  Here is Henri watching some dolphins swimming around their pool during feeding time.

This is the stubborn sea lion that would do what he was supposed to and then wouldn't get out of the water so another sea lion could come in.  It was pretty funny.  Sea Lions and Children can be very similar at times I guess!

The dolphins show was great too.  The boys really loved it...well most of them!

Henri spent most of his time looking at the people behind us.

Florida...Part 2

Here are more pictures from the beach.  I guess this is eye wear day at the beach!!! 

They Boys LOVED the beach, each in their own way.  We made it there 3 of the 4 days.  

 

 

 

Hunter's favorite thing was Pier Park.  They had a few rides and a train that takes you through the park.

Well...at least until the yogurt shop!

 

This may have been one of my favorite things too...choose your yogurt and toppings.  Gotta love twist yogurt with every chocolate candy bar topping possible!!!

Keith also got to go para-sailing...no that is not me with him...are you kidding me.  FLYING HIGH ABOVE WATER!!! No Way!!!

Florida...Part 3

Harold and Memaw took the boys hunting for Frogs around the condo area.  Hunter, in his typical Hunter fashion spent the evening drawing up his "frog trap".  It didn't work, but he had fun and they did manage to find one frog.

 

 

He we are the morning we are leaving...This was Henri's bunk.  We removed the mattress from the built in bed and it work perfectly for his pack-n-play.  This is the morning Hayden woke up puking...I thought it was from a second night at Bippy's...but not the luck!

Hunter is still in bed with the snakes.  (and a bucket near by...just in case) 

This is the place we stayed!  Very nice and worked out well!
We all had a great time.  We even got to celebrate Harold's Birthday while we were there.  Thanks Memaw and Harold for everything!  I asked Hunter his favorite part and he said, "getting to see Memaw and Harold"...so there you go!
