Valentine's & President's Day

This are the Valentines that Hunter chose to give out for Valentines day (these were the extra that Hayden gave out).

These were Hayden't choice.

I did a little decorating.  Hayden remembered the hearts from last year and kept asking for them.  So the day before Valentines day, I hung them on the mirror and some in the dinning room window.

I also planned on making these with the boys, but they didn't have much interest, so I made them myself.  I thought they were pretty cute.

I went easy for dinner.  Spaghetti!!! The boys love it and it's easy enough to make.  Add canned bread sticks in the shape of a heart and easy peasy Valentines dinner!  We wrapped up the evening with Marble Saga on the Wii.  The new favorite game of the boys (and Keith, I think).

On President's day, the boys had the day off.  They had fun doing some "do it yourself" crafting.  Give a 4 & 6 year old construction paper, scissors and tape and you never know what they will come up with.

Hayden made all kinds of creations.

Hunter made a chain counting down to his birthday.

We built a fort...

Then Hunter wanted to make a parachute for his power ranger.

It was actually a pretty nice day out (aside for the 50mph winds) so they went outside to test it out.  Hayden was a bit disappointed that it didn't get sucked up into space, but they still had a lot of fun trying.

Over all it was a really fun day!!!

(Oh, and yes I know the deck needs stained...)

Happy 4th Birthday Hayden...

Well, it's hard to believe another year has gone by.  Hayden turned 4 years old today.  He had a spider man/super hero birthday party and had a great time.  The weather couldn't have been better.  After all this heat 80s have been great!!!  Today we have just been spending time as a family and playing outside and then we headed to McDonald's for dinner and some fun in the play land.  This was Henri's first time climbing and had so much fun coming down the slide with his big brothers.

Birthday cake pancakes for breakfast, then off to church.  He even got to celebrate at church in Kids Under Construction

In his new super hero tee-shirt from G. Grandpa and Grandma Luckey

Trying to figure out the scooter he got from Poppy and Boppy.

Well, after a fun night at McDonald's they are now playing with all his new toys and with Keith.  How is it possible that he is 4???

4th of July etc...

So as the summer continue to fly by we are trying to get some fun time in, despite the heat!!!  The fourth was a fun but busy day.  I forgot my camera for the most of if though, so no pictures.  The boys and I did make cake pops for the fourth.  They were yummy!!!  If you have never made them, I highly recommend them!!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's for swimming and naps then to some friends for a cookout and then back to our place for fireworks with friends!

Hayden is playing Wee Ball this summer and he has enjoyed it.  I think??? he is looking forward to starting swimming next week.  Both boys will take swimming.  Hunter is really excited, we'll see how Hayden does.

And once again,  Henri has been along for the ride and I think he is enjoying it more than last year.  This year had can walk...or should I say run!  So he prefers to not be put in the swing (which between there and a stroller is where he spent much of last summer).

We also had some visitors the other night.  From left to right cute tiger, Green Goblin and Spider Man

And we are trying our best to stay cool.  Lots of Pool time and a slip and slide now and then too!
