Winter 2014

Okay, first sorry for such a long gap.  I really tried posting this a while ago and it wasn't working and I didn't take the time to figure out why.  Then Mom got on me so I figured I would come get it worked out...so, I'm back.  I also haven't had to much to blog about.  The boys are ever getting bigger and we have been in the house A LOT!!! But that's okay I see light at the end of this very VERY long winter.  Here are a few thing we have been up to though.
We have been drinking a lot of Hot Cocoa.  The boys have also been able to play in all this snow a little, but most of the time it's just been to cold to be out in it.
But when they have had the chance they have had a great time with each other and friends!

We have had quite of few PJ days and game days with the fireplace going.
And they have gone sledding a  few times this year too.  We were introduced to a great little hill just down the road so that's been a fun place to meet up with some neighbors.

Of course they Dad's are usually put up to this task while I hang out in my warm home making Hot Cocoa for everyone upon their return.  I did make it out this once though, which was fun.  Henri loved it!!!

Hunter authored and illustrated his first book this winter as well.
Hayden is loving to build with legos and k'nex too.  He was very proud of this creation.
Keith and I did have a chance to get away for a few days to Sunny San Diego, CA.  When we left it was -1 with a real feel temp of -25.  70 felt great!!!  I am no hot weather fan, but I could handle San Diego.  It was beautiful!!!  So really that's all that we have been up to.  The boys are growing up quickly.  Hunter will be 8 in a week.  Where does the time go??? Hayden is taking piano and loving it.  He is also reading like a champ and loves that too.  He is really excited for Kindergarten and Soccer to start up this fall.  Henri is Henri.  He makes me laugh all the time.  He is a stubborn as can be and thinks he is 7.  We are working on letters right now and he has a mental block but thanks to all the different apps, movies, books and pinterest ideas, I think he will get it sooner or later.
Until next time...which will hopefully be sooner than this time

Loved the update! I'm glad you were able to get away for a couple days to thaw out!! I feel SO bad for all of you that are dealing with such a miserable winter! We were pretty lucky.
I want to read Hunter's story - I hope Hayden was found! :)
Love you all-

I've been checking often for a new post and was happy to see one. I know how busy you are and how long it takes to get these off, but know they are enjoyed.
