Hunter's 8th Birthday

Hunter turned EIGHT yesterday.  We didn't do a party, but he did have a fun filled weekend.  We started out the weekend letting him pick dinner and he picked IHOP, where he had stuffed french toast with strawberries and an ice cream sundae.  Nothing like dessert for dinner.  The we headed to Chuck-E-Cheese, where we received a surprise visit from Aunt Becky. I forgot my camera, so no pictures, but I don't think they stood still long enough for me to get a picture of them anyhow.  We then headed to Target to spend the gift card Hunter received from Memaw and Harold for his birthday.  He bought Super Mario Bros. for the Wii.  So far, so good.

Saturday morning they boys woke up and they had to start playing their new game.  Then they were surprised by a visit from Poppy and Boppy, who came to take Hunter bike shopping.  It was successful and Hunter got a new bike!!!  It was a nice enough day that he got to try it out too!

Mom may have stole it for a few minutes to make sure it was ok for him to ride.

He did okay riding it too...
The other two boys had fun playing outside too.

Then Grandpa and Grandma stopped by with Hunter's gift...a new Wii remote so all three of the boys (Hunter, Hayden & Daddy) can all play together!

Saturday night Keith had his fantasy baseball draft, so we got together with some friends and had dinner at McDonald's then came back and had cupcakes and played!

The morning of his Birthday we had to be to church early, but we still had to do a little celebrating.  Caramel rolls and hot cocoa...

He is officially 8!!!

After church (and sparks-a-rama practice) we opened gifts...
Captain Underpants books!

A book light for reading at night (which kept him up too late last night)

And a journal with a real lock and key!

Then it was Hunter's dinner of choice (hot dogs, corn, and french fries) in the living room, in front of the TV.

He also requested S'mores trifle this year instead of a cake...works for me!

The rest of the evening was spent playing Mario!!!

I think even without a party, he had a great Birthday weekend...now back to healthy eating...

Happy Birthday Hunter!

Well, another A+ Birthday. You're something else little lady and your boys are very lucky guys.
Hope the snow is done for this year - come on spring...
