Hunter is 7..."you got the wrong candle - oh, wait, he is 7"

Hard to believe that my baby boy is 7.  I don't know why, but that sounds so old.  Well, in regards to having a child that age who, to me, feels like he should be maybe, 4.  Never-the-less, he is 7, and we couldn't love him more.  What a great kid he is.   I mean he is 7, but what amazing things I can see for this boy.  He has a love a math, but spells like his mom.  Some of you may know what that means.  We're working on it.  He loves school is social and bubbly, but loves to be at home too, snuggling with him mom and playing with his brothers.  I love seeing his compassion that has been growing in him.  He is also so creative.  I'm not sure how his mind keeps going all the time, but boy does it ever.  He loves to write, draw and paint.  We are excitedly getting ready to take some art classes.  He is very excited about that.  He is always on the go, although I have found a way to get him to sit still for a while.  He loves the iPad and often asks when he gets one.  He is all boy who loves to make cars crash, make a mess and build anything.  He also loves reading with mom (we're slowly working a reading through the Chronicles of Narnia) and reading  his Bible (he requested a light for his bed, so he could read his Bible at night...love that).  I'm not sure where the time has gone, but I sure have loved (almost) every minute of it and can't wait to see what things are to come!

So anyhow...enough of the sappy stuff.  Hunter had a great birthday.  It was on a Saturday, so we actually got to have his party on the same day; therefore, we did our gifts in the morning.  We just got him a few little things, but he was very excited that I got a .99 game on the iPad for him.  He requested a Monster Trucks on the Moon birthday (out of his own little mind) and in my research, there was an iPad game of the same name, so I had to get it for him.  He loved it!

So, as far as pictures go, these aren't to great.  I totally forgot to take pictures of all my "work" until after the kids (we had 9 boys plus my 3 at this party) had hit the table.  Here is the "Monster Trucks on the Moon" cake.  I realized I didn't get a good angle of the truck, but that is what that green thing on top is.

The boys had a blast drinking "mud" aka chocolate milk and eating "monster truck tires" chocolate doughnuts.

Then Keith and Hunter build a Monster truck ramp and all the boys had a chance to drive their trucks over the ramp and avoid them falling in the pit of water.  They LOVED this!!!

We opened gifts and of course Hayden had to assist to see what all Hunter's new toys were.

The boys wait patiently for their turn.

I really think a fun time was had by all.  It was a bit exhausting, but totally worth it.  Thank goodness Hunter insisted that Grandma & Grandpa and Poppy & Boppy be there.  Thanks for the help guys!!!

and Happy Birthday Hunter!
