I don't know about all you other mom's (or anyone for that matter) out there, but how can you not choke up a bit when you see a chubby little leg with band-aids. It is always a bit hard for me to watch my little guys get shots, but I just try to remember there is a greater good to the what seems like tears and pain. I often question whether these shots are worth it. I have tried to learn about the goods & bads of immunizations, and I have heard both sides of it, but in faith I trust the Drs. and know it is the best thing for my children. The Doctors will know and understand more that I ever will in regard to this situation. I know the same thing is true in my walk with the Lord. I read and study the Bible and attempt to discern what it says. Sometime I get it, sometime I don't, but thanks to good teachers, friends and husband, I come slightly closer to understanding. But the best part is that I know the author and I know He knows WAY more than anyone ever can hope to, so I know I can trust Him with my life. Sometime following Him can be painful, but he never said it would be easy. The reward is not in this lifetime. And just like those immunizations, the benefits well out weight the short time of pain and tears. If we seek Him we can have Joy in this life and the life to come! And band-aids or not, you still can't help but look at the cute, chubby legs!!!
Side Note: Henri's Stats...
He is 13 lb. 9 oz. (25%)
23.1 inches (3%)
For Comparison Sake...
Hunter was 11 lb. 5 oz. (5%) & 23 inches (3%)
Hayden was 13 lb. 8 oz. & 24 1/2 inches
So Henri is about as long as Hunter was and a bit heaver than Hayden.
