Door County 2009...

Door County 2009 was alot of fun...as usual. Thanks Uncle Jim & Aunt Janet!!! The weather was not the greatest everyday but we still had a great time.
On Thursday, we went to see the Cana Island light house, per Hunter's request. He loved it, although I think he was a bit disapointed that he couldn't go up to the top. Keith & Uncle Jake went and said it was really neat to be up that high. Hunter, Hayden, Aunt Janet, Uncle Jim & I hung out below checking out the water.

On Friday, it rained all day, so we hung out in the house playing, napping, coloring the Thomas T-shirt...thanks Boppy & playing Memory...alot of Memory. That night we did get out of the house and went for pizza. It was really really good.
Saturday Morning, we got up birght & early to go to Al Johnson's to eat, it was to icky for the goats to be out, but it was really yummy anyhow!
After that we went to an orchard and got some really good Cherry Apple pie! We also did one of the hardest straw mazes I have every been in. I couldn't figure it out. Keith, Hunter & Jake did though. You had to up and down. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Hayden was there too, I don't know why I don't have many pictures of him...sorry little guy!

After the Orchard we took Hayden back to get a nap and took Hunter to "The Farm". It is a really nice childrens farm. They have all kinds of animals and Tractors and stuff. Hunter loves this place. He had fun feeding the baby goats...
We did get to see some beautiful fall colors while we were there.
After "The Farm" we took Hunter to Lunch at P.C. Junction. It is a little restaurant where they bring you food on a train. Hunter absolutely loved this.
That's about all we did, but it is always so nice to head up there to see Aunt Janet & Uncle Jim. Thanks for all the good food, company and everything you did to make it a such a nice little get-away!

It was definitely our pleasure - we enjoyed your visit VERY much and look forward to the next time. You really took some great pictures. Forgotten items are on their way...

Love, Auntie Janet

Seems like a great time! The pictures are great, especially the one of Hunter in front of the lighthouse looking upset that he can't to to the top!

Is the "I want milk" comment anything akin to the famous "I want a blueberry"? :)

Hunter & I were in a battle. He wanted juice in a "big boy, spiderman" cup and I told him he could have water in a big boy cup or juice in a sippy cup. We went back in fourth. Him saying juice in the spider man cup. Me saying ...above... finally he says I want milk. It was probably a, you had to be there moment, but it was really funny, well at least looking back, not so much at the time...

Thought You'd Like This:

What Do You Do All Day??
A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and 20 wrappers strewn all around the front yard.

The door of his wife's car was open, and so was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.

In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.

In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.

He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.

As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over
the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel.

She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?"

"Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."
